![]() Mrs. Popper was very athletic; she won the gold medal in trampoline for the Sydney 2000 Olympics! Her prize was sent to her house (besides the gold medal, but she got that too!) And guess what her prize was; kangaroos, of course! When she got her prize, two weeks after her gold medal victory, she was surprised to see six large boxes in the driveway of her home. She was worried that they had been sent to the wrong address. But, the labels on the boxes said the correct address, to Mrs. Jan Popper 24 W. Jump St. Smallville, CO 55544. They were sent by Fed-Ex from Syndey, Australia!
Well, Mr. Popper was hoping for something else Antarctic, so they could meet his penguins. Now they would have to get a higher ceiling and a trampoline. Well, the trampoline wasn't so bad, only $200.
" Well, " said Mr. Popper, " we just sold the babies from my penguins, and we could try a different brand of food. There are cheaper brands out there, you know! " Mr. Popper said to his wife. And then Mr. Popper said, " We could sell the joeys from your kangaroos just like we sold my baby penguins. I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there that would love to have a kangaroo! " So, Mrs. Popper kept her kangaroos and her husband kept his penguins. They lived a happy and fulfilled life.
