A Big Mistake
By Grace
One night I was reading in my bedroom when all of a sudden a guy appeared. He had red, curly hair. He was wearing a purple tie with a pale white, long-sleeved shirt covered with a brown coat. His checkered pants were green. His red shoes had yellow shoestrings. He held a wand covered in blue sequins.
" I am your fairy Godmother in training!" he said in a high voice.
" Yeah, right." I said. " Well, if you are my so-called fairy Godmother, then give me a computer!"
" Okay!" he said. He picked up his odd wand, and with a tap, he made me really, really small.
" You idiot!" I said. " Look what you did to me!"
" Ooooo, ummmm, I'm sorry." He said. Then his wand disappeared.
" Oops, I forgot, I was supposed to get my wand recharged, but I didn't."
" So." I said.
" Well, when I don't get my want recharged it means I won't get my wand until I foam!"
" Foam," I said, " what does that mean?"
" I need to foam, that means fall on a merry-go-round!" he answered.
" Well come on, there's a fair in the park. Let's go!" I said.
We ran and ran. I got real tired when we only walked three feet, but it felt like three miles because I was really small! We finally got there. We found the merry-go-round.
My fairy Godmother got on the horse that was on the merry-go-round. " Help me! I feel like I'm going to throw up!" he said.
" Come on," I said. " It's only going one mile per hour."
Then my fairy Godmother fell! His blue want suddenly appeared in his hand. He looked at his watch.
" Oh ohh!" he said.
" What's oh ohh?" I said.
" It's already 11:58. If I can't change you by midnight, you will be small FOREVER!" His voice echoed throughout the fair. Everyone was looking at him.
" What?" he said.
Everyone went back to what they were doing.
" Well, what are you waiting for?" I asked. " Start to change me back into my real size!"
He started to change me.
" Now it's 11:59, hurry!" I said.
He changed me into a tissue, a bird, even a hamburger! When it was the last second until midnight, Yeah! I turned into my real size.
" Thank you" I said, " but do me a favor."
" What's that?" he asked.
" Get a new job." I said.
" Okay," he said quickly.
Two years later I saw my fairy Godmother. He was the mailman, and on his name tag it said Fred. His name was Fred, weird huh!
