Once, long ago in the woods there was a wild chicken that laid eggs! The eggs were different colors like purple, blue, red, and more colors. But they didn't have designs. Then a couple minutes later, the chicken said, " I need something to eat. " So she left her eggs and went to go get something to eat!
A couple of minutes later a rabbit came along and saw the eggs and sat on them!
Then, he said he was hungry. So he got up and looked at the eggs! They had designs on
them! He ran away because he didn't want anybody to see what he did. So he scampered off. Then
all of a sudden he came back. He had a brilliant idea. He was going to give the eggs to
people in the United States.
That is the story of how rabbits and colored eggs became a part of Easter. At least, that's what I think.
