THE SCHOOL MYSTERY BY: Christine

Once upon a time, no this is too good of a story to start like that. It was a normal day after school, actually there were only 3 days of school left.

Everybody was shouting, yelling, throwing papers and running around. (Well that's what it'll be like on the last day of school.)

Well, something happened in that time that my friends helped me figure out.

I'm Ruby: red hair, green eyes and pretty short for my age.
My best friend Lyn: blond short hair and brown eyes.
Sam: the smartest guy I know, brown hair, gray eyes and a little taller than your normal fourth grader.
Bryan: a really good snowboarder with every color of hair, brown, blond, red and even black. Bryan is Sam's best friend.

This is how the story begins. First lunch boxes were stolen. We came back from art ready to go to lunch. Then the teacher announced, " Somebody has taken the lunchboxes, but we'll find them by the end of the school year. "  So, every one had to take hot lunch, GROSS!

Not until the next day did we find the lunchboxes. They were in the lockers of two bullies. (What a surprise.)

Next, a desk was stolen. Not just any desk, the teacher's desk. Well, this time we couldn't really have a locker check.

Sam, Bryan, Lyn and I got together and th Ice Cream Parlor to discuss what happened, after ordering ice cream of course.
" I want chocolate chip, "  said Sam.
" I'll take Rocky Road, "  said Bryan.
" I'll have chocolate chop, too, "  I said.
" Um, and I'll take vanilla, "  said Lyn.
After we sat down and started eating our ice cram Lyn found the solution.

" We'll stay after school and pretend we have a lot of homework, "  she explained. We all agreed that this was a good idea.

The next day we stayed after school, and waited for a while. Finally Sam said " well, I don't see anyting happening. "
As we were about to gather our book bags and leave we heard a squeaky sound. Down the hall we could see a desk moving. It was the teacher's desk.
" Hey, "  shouted Bryan " what are you doing? "
Two boys dropped the desk and ran down the hall. We walked down the hall and returned the now found desk to the classroom. We still didn't know who the thieves were.

The next day we told our story and everybody was happy. Maybe the culprits were the bullies, maybe not, but I guess we'll never know. At least not until next year.
