| Notes: |
The county appropriation for 1938 was cut to
$1,000.00 by the county board. In spite of the curtailment of
funds, the library was called on to meet greater demands for
county service than ever. Miss O'Connor gave a talk before the
county board in November, 1938, giving them the results of a
survey of the twelve counties in the northwestern district and
showing the increased demand for service in Rusk County. The
County Board then voted to increase the appropriation to $1,500.00
for the next year. |
